network computing

Network computing is the generic term for the networking of several computers for the optimal use of computer resources. The idea behind this is that a single computer does not have the same performance as a computer that is connected to a network of several computers and can thus expand computer resources or server capacities, for example, as needed.

The term network computing says nothing about the constellation of computers, namely whether they are peer-to-peer networks, client-server architectures or other constellations.

In business network computing, a company specifically uses the resources of all the computer capacities in the company's own network. The goal is to reduce IT costs and build a competitive advantage over other competitors. Optimal use of existing capacities can significantly reduce the company's total cost of ownership( TCO).
