network control block (NetBios) (NCB)

Network Control Block (NCB) forms the basis of NetBIOS. The Network Control Block is used to transmit NetBIOS requests in which the storage location of a message and its destination are specified.

The Network Control Block comprises 64 bytes and contains control characters, codes, commands, name numbers, buffer addresses and network numbers.
