network parameter control (ATM) (NPC)

Network Parameter Control (NPC) describes the number of steps performed by the ATM network to monitor and control traffic to the Network to Network Interface( NNI). The purpose is to protect the network resources against intentional and unintentional malfunctions and to ensure the quality of service( QoS) of existing connections.
