open card framework (chipcard) (OCF)

There are several interfaces for smart card applications, such as the PC/ SC interface or the OCF interface based on the Open Card Framework (OCF). This was developed by the Open Card Initiative and is based on Java. It represents an industry standard in the Java environment. OCF-based applications require a corresponding device driver and an OCF-compatible smart card.
