open data service (ASAM) (ODS)

Open Data Service(ODS) is a standard of the Association for Standardization and Measuring Systems( ASAM), which is used worldwide by automotive manufacturers as a basis for data storage of test results and measurement results.

These extensive data sets can be used by partner companies and flow into product development. Open Data Service turns manufacturer-specific data into manufacturer-independent data. The data from the various manufacturers becomes comparable thanks to Open Data Service. They can be viewed as metadata and compared and used at any location at any time.

Thanks to Open Data Service, it makes little sense for companies to develop their own proprietary solutions. With the ODS service, they can access a comprehensive data pool and use it for their developments. The open source tools developed with it are better than the proprietary solutions.
