peak signal to noise rejection (video codec) (PSNR)

Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) is an objective or a mathematical evaluation criterion for the picture quality of video codecs. Peak Siganl to Noise Ratio (PSNR) is used in image coding and is independent of the power of the original signal. The PSNR value refers to the maximum possible power and is specified in decibels( dB).
