peripheral node control point (PNCP)

Term from the SNA world. It is the control center in a PU 2.1 node that manages session requests between neighboring PU 2.1 nodes; as a subset of the functions provided by the System Services Control Point ( SSCP). Also called Single Node Control Point ( NCP) or Control Point ( CP).
