permanent virtual channel connection (PVCC)

A Permanent Virtual Channel Connection (PVCC) is a virtual connection ( VCC) established indefinitely via the network management. With the PVCC technology, which is used in ATM networks, a permanently existing connection can be established via a Virtual Channel ( VC). It can be uniquely assigned by the Virtual Channel Identifier ( VCI).
