The Pitch Shifter offsets the audio frequency, music or voice in real time by an adjustable frequency offset. This changes the pitch by a certain interval. The frequency offset can range from a few cents to quarter and half tones to several octaves.
The pitch shifter effect is comparable to the Mickey Mouse voice and is used for sound enhancement but also for sound alienation. In sound enhancement, for example, the pitch shifter effect can be used to generate a second voice that is a minor or major third above the basic voice.
