point of entry (EMC) (PoE)

In EMC technology, the point of entry (PoE) is the point at which electromagnetic energy enters a device or system. The electromagnetic radiation can be conducted and penetrate the devices via supply and communication lines, but it can also be radiated via air. Via gaps between housing and chassis, via unshielded connectors, cable entries or ventilation slots.
