A power line conditioner( PLC) is a network component for conditioning the supply voltage in power transmission and low-voltage networks.

Power line conditioners are also referred to as line coordinators and improve the quality of electrical power transmitted to consumer equipment. Quality improvement refers to supply voltage consistency, power factor correction for changing current draws and varying loads, noise suppression, and protection from transient voltage spikes caused by surges, discharges, and lightning strikes. The result of the quality improvement achieved by filters, line filters, surge suppressors, and voltage limiters is reflected in a smoothed sinusoidal AC voltage.
