process dataway (Proway)

Proway is a serial bus system for industrial control automation and process data processing (PDV).

Proway is an international standard that describes a bus system that has a high data rate for automation, is insensitive to noise and is characterized by low cost. The Proway bus has a data rate of 1 Mbit/s over a distance of 3 km. Up to 100 nodes can be connected to the bus.

Due to the development of Ethernet and its use in automation and production, the development of Proway was no longer pursued.
