Production LevelVideo (PLV) represents a high quality level under Digital Video Interactive ( DVI). With PLV, video sequences are compressed offline by a supercomputer and can then be played back using a personal computer ( PC) and DVI card. Compressions of 150:1 are achieved with this method.
