pulse duration modulation (PDM)

Pulse duration modulation( PDM) is a modulation method in which the information to be transmitted is in the duration of the pulses.

In this modulation method, known as pulse width mod ulation( PWM), a time-dependent parameter of the pulse is changed in the rhythm of the modulation signal. A distinction is made between whether the start of the pulse, the middle of the pulse or the end of the pulse is used as a reference.
