quad high definition (QHD)

Quad High Definition (QHD) is a standard for high screen resolution of monitors, TVs and mobile devices. The resolution of QHD is 2,560 x 1,440 pixels with an aspect ratio of 16:9. It is thus four times higher than the resolution of 720p.

In addition, Quad High Definition is available in a high-resolution version as QHD+ with 3,200 x 1,600 pixels, as Wide QHD (WQHD, 1,440p) with a wide display of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, as Ultra Wide QHD (UW-QHD) in an ultra-wide aspect ratio of 21:9 with 3,440 horizontal and 1,440 vertical pixels, and as UW-QHD+ with a resolution of 3,840 x 1,600 pixels.

The abbreviation QHD exists in a second spelling qHD. This spelling stands for Quarter High Definition.
