quarter high definition (qHD)
Quarter High Definition (qHD), like Quad High Definition(QHD), is the screen resolution of displays.
Quarter High Definition (qHD) has only a quarter of the resolution of Full High Definition (Full HD) with 1,980 x 1,080pixels. Quarter High Definition (qHD) thus has a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The aspect ratio is 16:9. qHD format is used in mobile devices.
Both display formats - QHD and qHD - have an aspect ratio of 16:9 and are used in smartphones for playing videos in 16:9 format.
