quattro LNB

The Quattro LNB is a combined low- noise block converter (LNB) with four separate outputs, suitable for antenna systems with more than four subscribers.

A Quattro-LNB has four outputs for F-connectors, at which the entire program offer of a satellite is available. The four outputs are divided into the ranges for the former analogTV in the low band and for digital TV in the high band. Today, however, both frequency ranges are available for digital TV. In addition, the two polarization levels are differentiated in the outputs. The four LNB lines are routed separately to a multiswitch.

Switching between low-band and high-band is done with the 22 kHz control signal via the multiswitch, the polarization levels are switched with the DC voltage signal. The various receivers of the individual subscribers are connected to the multiswitch in a star configuration, since each individual receiver must have direct access to the LNB converter.
