radiated electromagnetic susceptibility (RES)

Radiated Electromagnetic Susceptibility(RES) is the susceptibility of a device to unwanted electromagnetic radiation and the associated degradation of its operation.

Radiated Electromagnetic Susceptibility (RES) is the level of radiated immunity that allows a given level of electromagnetic radiation to pass through without affecting operation.

The Radiated Electromagnetic Susceptibility test is performed according to IEC/ EN 61000-4-3: Testing of Immunity to Radio Frequency Electromagnetic Fields. It is recommended for all equipment exposed to electromagnetic fields from sources such as radios, radio and television transmitters and others. The test is performed in a far- field electromagnetic environment of specified field strength.

The test of immunity to interference from digital radio telephones is carried out in accordance with ENV 50204.
