radio data link access protocol (RD-LAP)

Radio Data Link Access Protocol (RD- LAP) is an open communication protocol - OSI layers 1 to 3 - for secure data transmission at the air interface on radio channels. The channel access method is a slotted DSMA(Digital Secure Multiple Access). This procedure was developed by Motorola for the air interface of the Modacom radio data transmission system.
