registration authority (RA)
The Registration Authority(RA) is an optional entity within a security infrastructure( PKI).
The Registration Authority works closely with the Certification Authority( CA) and is responsible for the secure identification and registration of users. Itverifies the identity of the subscriber(ZN), sends the application to the certification authority and transfers the personal identification number, which it receives from the certification authority, to the subscriber. The registration authority is the authority that ensures the unique assignment of the certificates to the persons.
