retrain

Retrain is a modem function in which the modems determine the transmission quality of the connection by sending training packets and then adjust the transmission parameters to the changed connection quality, similar to the fallback function. If the modems determine that the transmission quality has deteriorated due to increased error frequency, they can initiate a retrain. They renegotiate their transmission mode as at the beginning of the connection.
