return to zero inverted (RZ-I)

The RZ-I coding, Return to Zero Inverted (RZ-I), is the inverted version of Return to Zero Code (RZ). In RZ-I coding, the logic states for digital 0 and 1 are reversed compared to RZ coding. The clock pulse of the receiver is synchronized by the switching edge of the encoded high signal.
