semi duplex

Semi-duplex is a variant of duplex operation in which the signals are transmitted at full data rate in the transmitting direction, but at a slower data rate in the opposite direction from the receiver to the transmitter. Semi-duplex is implemented in ITU recommendationV.23, among others.
