service plane (IN) (SP)

The Service Plane(SP) is the top layer of the functional IN layer model.

The Service Plane shows the network from the user's point of view. It lies above the Global Functional Plane( GFP) and provides services. Each individual service can consist of several service features ( SF) and is transparent to the user.
