Single Carrier Radio Transmission Technology (1xRTT) is one of the 2nd generation mobile communications technologies and is based on the Code Division Multiple Access( CDMA) access method. 1xRTT technology is the first expansion stage for the CDMA2000mobile communications network and a CDMA application of the International Telecommunication Union( ITU) for IMT-2000. With this technology, transmission speeds of 625 kbit/s are achieved in the downlink.
