spread spectrum multiple access (SSMA)
Spread Spectrum Multiple Access (SSMA) is a variant of Code Division Multiple Access(CDMA), a multiple access method on a radio medium.
The SSMA method uses spread spectrum technology, in which broadband radio channels are used to transmit the user data, but the data is specially coded before transmission. SSMA uses a pseudo-random number( PRN) as the coding, whereas the CDMA method uses a code that is easy to generate. Each data bit is linked with all bits of the pseudo-random number.
