A start-up, also called a start-up company, is a young, newly established company and is most commonly used for new companies in the Internet industry. They are mostly young entrepreneurs who take their first steps in the field of e-commerce according to a previously written business plan. The term start-up was coined mainly in the period before the first Internet bubble.
