static induction transistor (SIT)

The Static InductionTransistor (SIT) is a high performance transistor. Due to its construction, the SIT transistor has a very low gate capacitance and low gate series resistance and has only a small thermal resistance. It is a low noise, low distortion transistor used in power amplifiers in acoustics. Transition times are less than one microsecond.
