subscription profile repository (SPR)

In Policy Control and Charging( PCC) in LTE networks, the Subscription ProfileRepository ( SPR) is an archive of information about the subscriber or subscriber subscription.

This repository shows which subscriber is allowed to use which mobile service, how the charges are calculated, how the subscriber is to be classified and which quality of service( QoS) is supported; the guaranteed and the maximum data rate.

The Subscription Profile Repository is directly connected to the Policy and Charging Rules Function( PCRF), which obtains its information from it.
