sustainable cell rate (SCR)

Sustainable Cell Rate (SCR) is a performance parameter of ATM that specifies the maximum data throughput of burst traffic that can be transmitted over a virtual channel ( VC) without cell loss. For variable bit rateconnections, the continuous cell rate determines the average value of the cell rate that can be transmitted. The average cell transmission rate is specified in cells per second (c/s).
