The term sweet spot is used in acoustics. It is the point in the room where the best room sound can be heard. It is the place to which the directional characteristics of the speakers are directed and where the best sound reproduction is achieved. The sweet spot is the acoustic focal point. It applies to all loudspeaker arrangements, for stereo as well as surround sound. The sweet spot is where the listener gets the best sound experience.
