tabbed browsing
The neologism Tabbed Browsing is composed of the word tab, which stands for a marker (tab) of a tab, and browsing, which can be translated as search service. Tabbed browsing is therefore a browser function that works with tabs, i.e. tabbed navigation.
Tabs are activated via the browser's menu bar under the menu item"File" or via the right mouse button. With this function, several web pages can be opened simultaneously in one browser window. The opened web pages are identified by the tabs in the tab bar. The advantage is that all web pages are open and the user can switch between them directly without having to go through the linking or to call the web pages again. The call is made directly from the tab bar, where all open web pages are displayed with tabs.
There are also security concerns against tabbed browsing. If several web pages are displayed in one window, then script commands can be executed in hidden pages and access data or other important data can get to the wrong server.
