terminal node (TN)

The term terminal node has been used in terminal networks; so in Systems Network Architecture ( SNA). In the SNA architecture, a terminal node (TN) is a peripheral node that cannot be programmed by the user. A terminal node has less intelligence and processing capabilities than a cluster controller node.
