thin quad flat package (Chip) (TQFP)
The TQFP package (Thin Quad Flat Package) is much flatter than that of Quad Flat Package( QFP) or of Low Profile Quad Flat Package( LQFP).
TQFP devices are only 1.2 mm or 1.27 mm thick. Due to their extremely flat design, LQFP devices are suitable for use in notebooks, handhelds and other mobile devices. These devices are available with 44, 48, 64, 80, 100 and 120 pins. The distance between the connectors can be 0.5 mm and 0.8 mm. The size of the TQFP package with 48 pins is 7.0 mm x 7.0 mm. The numbering of the connections is done consecutively from the marking counterclockwise.
