touch-sensitive foil
Touch-sensitive films are transparent, flexible films with electrical conductivity. They are flexible in size, can be applied to flat and curved surfaces, and respond to touch.
Due to these properties, touch-sensitive films can be applied to displays of industrial control equipment or to devices in home automation and consumer electronics or as control elements in metrology and automotive technology, where they generate the touch data for control purposes in multitouch.
Depending on the concept, touch-sensitive films are coated with indium tin oxide( ITO) and have a network of nanowires, or the polymer films are screen-printed with a fine grid of ultra-thin silver. Both processes generate contact coordinates. In addition, the conductive film or silver grid shields devices and displays from electric fields. Conductive films are also used in printed electronics, but also as radio labels, in organic photovoltaics, in smart objects and in various other applications.
