The total linking of weblogs, the linkback, contributes significantly to the linking with reference references and the formation of a blogosphere. Any web page with weblogs can be linked to servers via permalinks, trackbacks, pingbacks and refbacks. This linking includes the exchange of headlines and that of entire posts.
A trackback is an acknowledgement sent from a website (A), that of the organizer, to that of the receptor, website (B). The receptor publishes on its website (B) a link that leads to the organizer and with which the receptor references a post.
With the trackbacks there is a mechanism by which the reader of an entry can recognize that this entry is linked to another blog. The entry, which is exchanged between web servers via the Hypertext Transfer Protocol( HTTP), is similar to a comment by which the reader recognizes that another blogger has written something about this entry. It is a feedback when another post or web page has made reference to the actual original post. Trackbacks are attached to weblog posts so that any reader can find out about the relevance of an entry.
