The terminal equipment selection digit (EAZ) was the call number for a terminal device on an ISDN line and was appended to the ISDN call number. The terminal selection digit was only supported by the national 1TR6 protocol, but not by the European DSS1 protocol, Digital Subscriber System no. 1 (DSS1).
