value added process (NetWare) (VAP)

Value Added Process (VAP) offers as interface the possibility of functional extension ofNetWare 2.X servers. VAP allows the user, for example, to install a database server in the network which, without placing a load on the file server, provides data directly.

The VAP concept was replaced by the NLM concept( NetWare Loadable Modules) from versions 3.X onwards.
