virtual channel SDRAM (VC-SDRAM)

The VCM technology, Virtual Channel Memory (VCM), which is realized in the Synchronous Dynamic RAM ( SDRAM), is a memory technology developed by NEC, which offers special advantages in multimedia technology, computer games, Internet servers, among others.

VC-SDRAM (Virtual Channel SDRAM) has a much higher data throughput than conventional DRAMs. The technology uses the full bus bandwidth and has low latency. In addition, VCM technology works with a 256-bit wide internal data bus.
