resource reservation protocol traffic extension (MPLS) (RSVP-TE)

Bei dem RSVP- TE- Protokoll (Resource Reservation Protocol Traffic Extension) handelt es sich um eine Erweiterung des Resource Reservation Protocols (RSVP) um Objektklassen für das Traffic-Engineering für Multi-Protocol Label Switching ( MPLS). Das Protokoll ist zuständig für die Zuweisung der Labels.

Es bietet damit die gleichen Funktionen wie Multi-Protocol Label Switching - Label Distribution Protocol (MPLS- LDP) und Constraint Routing LDP ( CR-LDP).
