B band
The designation B-band was defined after World War II by NATO, in whose nomenclature the frequency bands are listed in alphabetical order.
The B band does not appear in the older German frequency band nomenclature. It covers parts of the UHF range used for terrestrial television. The B band lies above the A band and covers the frequency range between 250 MHz and 500 MHz. The wavelengths are between 1.2 m and 60 cm. The frequency band above this is the C band.
