Fahrenheit (F)

Fahrenheit (F), named after the German physicist Gabriel Daniel Fahrenheit (1686 to 1736), is a unit of temperature. Fahrenheit has placed the freezing point of water at +32 °F and the boiling point at 212 °F. These values are for normal atmospheric pressure.

The following relationships exist between the Fahrenheit, Celsius (C), and Kelvin (K) temperature units: +32 °F corresponds to a temperature of 0 °C or 273.15 Kelvin. The temperature difference of 1 °F corresponds to 0.555 °C or Kelvin.
