German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies in DIN and VDE

The DKE is a national organization for the development of standards and safety regulations for electrical engineering, electronics and information technology in Germany. It is an organ of the"Deutsches Institut für Normung e.V. (DIN)" and the "Verband der Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik e.V. (VDE)" and is supported by the latter. The DKE is the German member of the International Electrotechnical Commission ( IEC) and the Comité Européen de Normalisation Electrotechnique ( CENELEC) and the National Standards Organisation (NSO) of ETSI responsible for Germany.

The work results of the DKE are an integral part of the German body of standards. Its electrotechnical safety standards, as VDE regulations, also form the VDE body of regulations.
