J1708-Bus

The J1708 bus is a field bus standardized by the Society of Automotive Engineers( SAE) for heavy-duty trucks.

Physically, it is essentially the same as RS-485, with the difference of collision detection( CD) and multiple access.

The J1708 nodes use a priority system to control collision-free access to the J1708 bus. Each J1708 station is assigned its own priority depending on the application.
