V.110
ITU-T recommendations V.110 and V.120 describe the procedures for bit rate adaptation of bit streams with 0.6, 1.2, 2.4, 2.8, 7.2, 9.6, 12, 14.4, 19.2 and 38.4 kbit/s into the ISDN bit stream of 64 kbit/s.
V.110 is an asynchronous transmission protocol for the B channel, which deliberately does not use its data rate of 64 kbit/s so that terminals with lower data rates can be adapted. Adaptation to a different data rate is performed by prior synchronization. The V.120 standard also provides the multiplex functions for multiple utilization of an ISDN connection.
