all glass fiber (AGF)

All-glass fiber (AGF), all-silica fiber or silica clad silica (SCS) are optical waveguides in which the core glass and the cladding glass consist of quartz glass or pure silicon dioxide. The designation refers exclusively to the core glass and the cladding glass. Such optical fibers can be single mode fibers, multimode fib ers or gradient fibers.
