directory information shadowing protocol (DISP)

The DirectoryInformation Shadowing Protocol (DISP) is one of three protocols specified for X.500 by the then CCITT, now the International Telecommunication Union ( ITU). The DISP protocol is used to copy directory information between servers in X.500 systems. The other two protocols are the Directory Access Protocol ( DAP) and the Directory Service Protocol ( DSP).
