distributed link aggregation (XRN) (DLA)
Distributed LinkAggregation (DLA) is an implementation in XRN networks(Expandable Resilient Networking) that secures edge devices such as distribution stations over multiple links to the distributed fabric.
Distributed Link Aggregation thereby protects edge devices against failures in the links or in the switches. The DLA technique is used to increase the performance and capacity of link aggregation in XRN networks.
DLA aggregation supports 802.3 ad link aggregation. This allows any device that complies with the standard to connect to a Distributed Fabric in an XRN network and take advantage of the benefits and resiliency of XRN technology. Distributed Link Aggregation also supports intelligent routing of traffic entering and leaving the Distributed Fabric.
