General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is a data transmission with data packet switching viaGSM. Since GPRS, in contrast to High Speed Circuit Switched Data (HSCSD), operates on a packet-oriented basis, several data packets with different destination addresses can share a transmission channel dynamically, making much more efficient use of network resources than HSCSD.
