global roam

Global Roam is a feature of the D1 GSM service that supports global roaming.

The D1 subscriber can also be reached at his or her telephone number in the USA and Canada when using the Advanced Mobile Phone System( AMPS). Conversely, global roaming also allows subscribers of the AMPS network to be reached under their telephone number in Western Europe or other countries with GSM networks, provided they use a GSM telephone.
